Porn Addicted Rapists 42

A Melbourne man accused to trying to have sex with a minor is also facing charges for child pornography, the Brevard County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
Billy Leon Dyer, 77, of the 7600 of Candlewick Drive was charged with three counts of producing child pornography and attempted enticement of a child. The Sheriff's Office worked with Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the case.
The investigation commenced earlier this year as agents received information that Dyer was in contact with underage children and soliciting them for sexual acts. In March an agent took on the persona of one of these children. Dyer contacted the agent about meeting somewhere for sex, the Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies took Dyer into custody March 10 when he arrived at the location.
Agents followed up with a search warrant for Dyer's home and retrieved his computer and other electronic media. They found more than 100 images of child pornography and identified three children among them. Investigators will continue to try to identify other children in the images.
Anyone with information about Dyer can contact the Sheriff's Office at 321-633-8407 or CRIMELINE at 800-423-TIPS (8477).

The arrest of a man accused of raping a 12-year-old child has led to a trove of pornographic photos that have police concerned there may be dozens of other underage victims.
Matthew Ryan Bucher is charged with six counts of rape, six counts of promoting a sexual performance by a minor and six counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
He’s the worst of the worst,” said Kenton County Police Chief Spike Jones.
Bucher lured young girls to his Ft. Mitchell apartment where most of the crimes were committed, police said.
Investigators said Bucher also committed some of the crimes when he picked up the girls in his silver Mazda CX-5.
Bucher, who also used the name Matt Percin, met the underage girls on social media sites, police said. He told the girls he was 18 or 19 years old. Bucher is 29.
More than 60,000 child pornographic images belonging to Bucher were found according to detectives.
“The farther they peeled back the layers, the more evidence they found,” said Commonwealth Attorney Rob Sanders.
Sanders said the pictures they uncovered reveal there are clearly more victims. Some of them could live as far away as Dayton or Louisville.
We have, I would estimate 10 to 12 victims we have photographs of that are definitely, undeniably under the age of consent,” Sanders said.
There could be another dozen or so who might be underage in the pictures according to Sanders.
Investigators have not been able to identify the victims seen in the images.
Police are now asking for anyone who might have been a victim of Bucher’s to contact Kenton County police at (859)240-8548.

He sought out young girls and made them feel special, according to court documents. He somehow got them to overlook the age difference.
But then the cameras came out, the documents said, and Petty Officer 2nd Class Jordan Lee Adams' charm morphed into name calling and rough sex.
"Adams broke these young girls down and then convinced them that he loved them, that they were special to him," Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Alyssa Nichol wrote in court documents. "In reality, he carefully catalogued them … on his personal laptop, so they would all be available for his gratification at whim."
Adams, whom a judge described as a "serial child rapist and predator," was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in prison for producing child pornography.
"This is a life sentence for these children," said U.S. District Judge Arenda Wright Allen.
Adams, now 26, plans to plead guilty next month to related sex crimes in a military court. Whatever sentence he gets in that case, however, will run concurrently with the federal case.
According to federal court documents, Adams – a machinist’s mate who has served on the George Washington, Theodore Roosevelt and Enterprise aircraft carriers – had sex with at least four girls between 2009 and 2013. He photographed or filmed at least some of the encounters with each girl.
Most of the court documents focus on Adams’ relationship with one girl in Wayne County, N.C., where he grew up.
The relationship started in 2011, when Adams was 21 and the girl was 14. They had sex multiple times, and court documents say the girl asked him at one point to stop, but Adams said no.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service started investigating Adams in August 2014, when another sailor said he sexually assaulted her. In the process, Adams gave NCIS agents permission to search the laptop where he stored photos and videos of his sexual encounters.
The agents found 998 images and videos of suspected or known child pornography, with some of it cataloged in subfolders titled with the victims' names. Some of it was made by Adams but not all.
According to court documents, he posted photos he took of one girl to a social media application popular with child pornographers. The post referenced Wayne County.
Another person reached out to the girl in March 2015, seeking additional photos of her and threatening to further spread the images if she didn’t comply.
Adams, who has been incarcerated at a military brig for over a year, pleaded guilty Jan. 17 to one count of production of child pornography.
Nichol asked the court Thursday to sentence Adams to 30 years in prison – the maximum allowed.
"Adams has shown that he is the epitome of the type of person from which the public needs to be protected," she said, noting that he targeted young girls because of their age, groomed them and abused them. "The government does not believe that Adams is able to control himself."
Defense attorney Greg McCormack argued for a sentence of 20 years. He noted that his client will probably face a dishonorable discharge from the military and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Attorneys recounted occasions in which Adams walked in on his stepsisters and asked one for a naked photo.
Adams apologized to his victims, their families and his family before asking the court for mercy. He said he wanted a chance to be who he is supposed to be.
"Not who I've been," he said.
Wright Allen said she saw some good in Adams and urged him to try to change other men he will come across in prison who might not have positive views of women.
"Be a light," she said. "You can still do a lot of stuff."
But the judge was quick to note this case didn't come to light because Adams realized he needed help. She repeatedly commended the female sailor who reported Adams to NCIS.
"She is a hero as far as the court is concerned," the judge said. "She needs to be thanked."

A convicted sex offender in Bangor is going to prison for more than ten years for having child pornography.
Ernest Cook, 58, was also ordered to pay $16,500 in restitution.
He was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Bangor after pleading guilty last fall.
Cook was previously convicted of unlawful sexual contact involving a child and is on the state’s sex offender registry for life.
The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office was tipped off more than two years ago that Cook had child porn on his home computer.
Investigators determined he searched for the images on-line, then saved them to a flash drive.

PRATTVILLE — Prattville police are asking for the public’s help in a child porn investigation, where the suspect may have used social media to lure his victims.
Carl DeWayne Richardson, 31, of Geneva County, faces five counts of possession of obscene material depicting people younger than 17, said Capt. Jeff Hassell, commander of the Prattville Police Department’s investigative division. He was being held in the Elmore County Jail on Tuesday under bail totaling $50,000, jail records reflect.
He could not be reached for comment. Courthouse records show he doesn’t have an attorney. Richardson used various forms of social media in an effort to contact juveniles, Hassell said. Richardson was arrested on March 22, at a restaurant in the 2500 block of Cobbs Ford Road, he said. At the time, Richardson was working for a landscaping company, and may have traveled extensively throughout Alabama and northern Florida, Hassell said.
“Based on the investigation so far, Richardson may have contacted, or may have attempted to contact juveniles via different social media websites as he traveled through Alabama and North Florida for the purposes of initiating a sexual relationship with them,” Hassell said. “We just ask that anybody that has information that may pertain to him reaching out and trying to contact juveniles for a sexual nature, please contact us.”
The restaurant where he was arrested is in the Elmore County portion of Prattville, which explains why he is in the Elmore County Jail, Hassell said. Richardson had left his cell phone behind in the restaurant. The phone was open and an employee saw pornographic images on the phone showing juveniles and contacted police, Hassell said.
Richardson was still on the property when officers responded and he was taken into custody, Hassell said.
Investigators would not comment on if Richardson produced the alleged pornographic materials himself, or accessed the images via the internet, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
Parents and guardians need to be on guard about dangers their children face on social media, Hassell said.
“You need to know what your children are doing obviously,” Hassell said. “There’s a lot of social networking apps and websites out there. If you’re not monitoring what your children are doing, they very well could be having a conversation with someone they think is their own age, and it could be this individual right here.
“And you need to do some type of due diligence checking those websites. Making sure you know as much information as you can about those websites and what they are used for.”

BOISE -- A Meridian man is behind bars after a child pornography investigation led by the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children unit.
Brian Orcutt, 31, was arrested Tuesday on a felony charge of sexual exploitation of a child.
The Meridian Police Department, Boise Police Department, Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Air National Guard all participated in the investigation, according to the Idaho Attorney General's Office.
Orcutt is currently held in the Ada County Jail, and is due to appear in court Wednesday afternoon. Anyone with information about children being exploited is urged to contact police, the ICAC Unit at 208-334-4527 or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.
A Simi Valley man was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of producing child pornography involving a 6-year-old girl, officials said Friday.
Eric Allen Haensgen, 38, was also charged with distributing and possessing child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
The indictment alleges Haensgen, who up until August 2015 lived in Illinois, produced video and still photos of the girl. Investigators said they found 83 images and three videos of the victim taken with this iPhone and uploaded to a computer, authorities said.
He is also suspected of distributing other examples of child pornography he obtained over the internet through BitTorrent, a file-sharing protocol, officials said.
After federal prosecutors filed a criminal complaint against Haensgen accusing him of one count of producing child pornography, he was arrested March 24 by agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations.
Asked why Homeland Security Investigations was involved, Thom Mrozek, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office, said child pornography is one of the many crimes investigated by the agency.
"HSI is one of our key partners in the fight against child exploitation crimes," Mrozek said.

Two people were charged with sexual assault and making child pornography following a five-month Winnipeg Police Service investigation sparked by images posted to social media.
The images police were tipped about by a concerned member of the public were not "flagrant," but "it was enough to alert that individual that a child was being exploited," Const.. Rob Carver said Wednesday.
As a result of the investigation, a five-year-old Winnipeg child was identified and moved to safety, police said.
"Without that tip from the public in this case, this case would not have moved forward," Carver said. "Sometimes the work of our units and (the public) come together. In this case, they came together to actually save a child.
"The happy ending here is that this child is now safe. We don't always get to say that."
After receiving the initial tip about the images on an unnamed open-source social-media site in December, police executed a search warrant in February.
The discovery of images of a child being sexually abused resulted in the arrest of two suspects who were charged with multiple offences, including possession of child pornography and making available child pornography for the purpose of distribution or sale. One suspect was also charged with failing to comply with an undertaking and is known to police for other issues, Carver said.
After further investigation, the two suspects were rearrested this month and charged with additional offences, including sexual assault, sexual interference, making child pornography and possession of child porn for the purpose of sale or distribution.
The duo were not in custody when the second set of charges were laid, but "the accused did not go out and (allegedly) reoffend, it was more evidence that was uncovered as the investigation unfolded," police said Wednesday.
The five-year-old child identified by police was the subject of the images seized, Carver said, and further charges are not expected.
"As far as we are aware, it was limited to this one particular victim."
Police did not release the age, gender nor relationship of the accused to the alleged victim in an effort to preserve the anonymity of the child, Carver said.
"Ultimately, this about that victim and anything we do to identify that victim would wreck some of the good work we've done," he said.
Carver said police believe the accused were acting alone and the crimes appear "to be contained within these two individuals."
He further praised the public's role in the investigation and encouraged others continue to play a part in combatting Internet child exploitation.
"This is a crime that's happening in our communities, in our neighbourhoods, and that is how it is happening... it's being done by people who are connected to (a victim)," such as a caregiver or relative, Carver said. "Because of the nature of that connection it is a neighbour or another relative who may be able to provide a tip that can again save another child."
