Porn Addicted Rapists 44

A porn addict who raped one girl and sexually assaulted another has been jailed.
Paul Hoodlass, 50, sexually abused one of the girls over a prolonged period while he sexually assaulted the other on September 29, last year. Both were under 16 at the time.
At Hull Crown Court Judge Jeremy Richardson QC described the offences as 'vile' and jailed Hoodlass for 14 years for rape and five other sexual offences.
In a probation report Hoodlass, of Hessle Road in west Hull, admitted his unhealthy fascination with porn.

A Loveland man who told investigators he raped two young girls over several years and video-recorded some of the crimes has pleaded guilty to charges involving one of the girls.
Jeffery Clements, 34, faces up to 46 years to life in prison.
In Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Thursday, Clements pleaded guilty to two child pornography charges and three counts of raping a child under 13 years old. The incidents happened between 2008 and 2015. He was charged in September 2016.
The victim told state investigators Clements began raping her when she was 6 or 7 and the abuse continued until she was 13, according to prosecutors.
As part of the plea deal, prosecutors dismissed several counts against Clements. He was allowed to plead to raping a child under 13 years old, instead of a child under 10, which under state law could have led to a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Hamilton County Assistant Prosecutor Jeffrey Heile said during the hearing that the plea deal allows Clements to request parole after serving a certain number of years that the judge will determine. It could be as many as 46 years in prison.
Judge Tom Heekin will impose the sentence on June 7.
Heile said multiple child pornography files were found on Clements’ computer. He said Clements confessed that he engaged in sexual acts with the victim and “recorded himself doing it.”
Clements told Heekin in court that he has a ninth-grade education. His attorney, James Bogen, has previously said Clements worked as a cook.
In 2002, Clements was arrested and pleaded no contest to criminal child enticement in Hamilton County. The victim in that case was under 14 years old, according to court documents.
After his conviction, Clements was sentenced to probation and required to register as a sex offender. As a "sexually-oriented offender," his duty to register as a sex offender expired after 10 years in 2012.
With Thursday’s plea, Heekin said Clements will have to register as a sex offender every 90 days for the rest of his life.

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — A Springdale man accused of sexually abusing a child for nearly seven years has pleaded guilty to producing and possessing child pornography, according to federal court documents.
Jason Ellis, 34, pleaded guilty Thursday (May 4) to two counts of sexually exploiting a child and one count of possession of child pornography.
The victim — a 13-year-old female — told police in June 2016 that Ellis had been abusing her since she was 7, according to court documents.
The victim said Ellis started the abuse by coming into her room and masturbating on her bed. Later, Ellis introduced her to sexual games and toys. He also showed her videos of other children being sexually abused. The victim said Ellis would take pictures of her and store them on a hard drive.
Ellis was being held Thursday (May 11) at the Benton County Jail with no bond set.
His sentencing hearing will be set sometime within the next few months, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
Ellis faces up to 30 years in prison for each count of sexually exploiting a child and up to 10 years for possessing child pornography.

Springdale Man Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charges MAY 11, 2017 BRANDON HOWARD

A former Des Moines, Washington man was sentenced today in U.S. District court in Seattle to 27 years in prison and lifetime of supervised release for producing and possessing images of child pornography, announced U.S. Attorney Annette L. Hayes. ROBERT D. THORSON, 58, was convicted following a four-day trial in February 2017. THORSON was arrested May 30, 2016, after his girlfriend called Des Moines police after finding sexually explicit images of minors on THORSON’s phone. At sentencing, Chief U.S. District Judge Ricardo S. Martinez said, “This is one of the most egregious cases this Court has handled. . . Mr. Thorson repaid the kindness shown to him [by two families] by sexually abusing and exploiting the children.”
This defendant sought relationships with women so that he could molest their children, said U.S. Attorney Annette L. Hayes. “He insinuated himself into the lives of the families he preyed on and when his crimes were discovered, he threatened them from prison to try to get the charges against him dropped. There is no question that the public – and especially our kids – are safer as a result of the lengthy sentence imposed in his case.”
According to records in the case and testimony at trial, THORSON’s girlfriend examined his phone looking for evidence he was seeing other women. Instead she found images of THORSON molesting young girls who resided in her home. The woman called Des Moines Police and THORSON was arrested. When investigators examined THORSON’s electronic devices they found images showing THORSON disturbing the clothing and bedding of sleeping children so he could make sexually explicit photos. THORSON’s clothing, tattoos and body parts appear in some of the images. THORSON’s electronic devices also contained images from a hidden camera installed in a bathroom at the home that captured minor children using the bathroom and the shower. The electronic evidence presented at trial revealed THORSON preyed on a second family when he briefly stayed in their home in 2015.
In addition to the images of child molestation that he produced, THORSON also had images of other children being raped and molested that he collected from the internet. THORSON’s electronic devices had 22 videos and 40 images of children being raped by adults. One two-hour video THORSON had on his electronic devices shows the rape of a 4 year old child by an adult male.
While THORSON was in custody he sent letters to his former girlfriend threatening her and demanding she change her statements to police.
Not only did Thorson violate innocent children as they slept for his own sexual gratification, he used threats and coercion in an attempt to cover up these heinous acts,” said Brad Bench, special agent in charge of HSI Seattle. “In partnership with local law enforcement, investigators successfully presented the evidence needed for a jury to bring justice to this predator.”
The case was investigated by the Des Moines Police Department and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen Hobbs and Special Assistant United States Attorney Cecelia Gregson. Ms. Gregson is Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney specially designated to prosecute child exploitation cases in federal court.

Former Des Moines man sentenced to 27 years in prison for production and possession of child pornography 05/12/2017

HOLTON — Jacob C. Ewing viewed an average of four hours of violent pornography a day, a prosecutor told a Jackson County District judge on Friday.
The websites include images of women being slapped, strangled and punched, forced to eat vomit and sexually abused, Jackson County special prosecutor Jacqie Spradling said.
Spradling, former Shawnee County chief deputy district attorney, filed a motion Tuesday seeking to admit evidence of Ewing’s viewing of violent porn in which rape, aggravated sodomy and battery are committed.
The motion is tied to Ewing’s jury trial that will begin June 26 in Jackson County District Court. In this trial, Ewing is charged with the rape and aggravated criminal sodomy of one woman in September 2014 and with rape and two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy of a second woman in May 2016, court records said.
Ewing faces four additional sexual assault cases.
Ewing, 22, of Holton, faces five counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, two counts of aggravated sexual battery and six counts of aggravated criminal sodomy.
On April 20, a jury acquitted Ewing of aggravated indecent liberties and aggravated criminal sodomy with a child younger than 14 years old. At the time of the alleged assault in 2014, the child was 13.
In court Friday, Spradling said Ewing watched violent porn on his phone for four hours a day.
This is a guy with a long history of enjoying violent porn,” Spradling said in court.
Viewing porn isn’t a crime, and Spradling isn’t seeking to show jurors Ewing’s “entire porn consumption,” she wrote in a court motion.
“Instead, the state seeks admission of only that consumption that mirrors the acts he’s charged with,” Spradling wrote.
After Ewing’s cellphone and computer were seized and forensically analyzed, the resulting search revealed Ewing’s consumption of pornography focused on rape, aggravated sodomy and battery, Spradling said.
In the list of websites in Spradling’s motion, the prosecution shows Ewing logged on, was offered a variety of videos to watch and “chose video after video showing a woman being raped, sodomized and hit,” Spradling wrote.
The prosecution motion lists 14 violent porn sites viewed in April 2016.
“Importantly, many of these websites were accessed and violent porn was viewed by the defendant right before and right after many of the charges (the) defendant faces,” Spradling wrote.
Spradling cited three Kansas court cases that supported accessing a defendant’s web browsing history. She also sought to bring in victims from three other cases against Ewing to testify.
Kathleen Ambrosio, Ewing’s defense attorney, strenuously objected to introduction of the porn evidence or having other victims testify in this trial.
The porn evidence is “highly, highly prejudicial,” Ambrosio said, and allowing other alleged victims to testify would be prejudicial.
Ambrosio questioned whether the porn would be played in court, adding that if the judge allowed the porn to be viewed, she would bring in an expert to testify about it. Ambrosio said the court has been clear that porn doesn’t create a propensity to commit crimes.
Jackson County District Judge Norbert Marek Jr. ruled that other alleged victims would be allowed to testify that similar crimes had happened to them.
Marek didn’t rule Friday on whether to allow the violent porn to be introduced as evidence. He said he expects to issue a ruling in the next 10 days.
In a separate motion, Marek denied a defense request to order a victim to undergo an independent mental health evaluation after the woman “just checked out” and became noncommunicative with people in the courtroom during a preliminary hearing.
During the hearing, the woman who was on the witness stand stopped talking for a couple of minutes, didn’t respond to questions and stared blankly, Ambrosio said. Then the woman began answering questions, saying that based on a disorder, she had “blanked out” and “spaced out.”
The woman said she had untreated dissociative disorder, which involves having multiple personalities, according to Ambrosio, who added that a professional should examine the woman.
“I believe there are serious concerns about her being able to testify,” Ambrosio said.
Spradling responded that she could understand why a rape victim might space out while testifying.
“Who wants to testify about horrifying events?” she said.
Marek said the event didn’t prevent the woman from testifying in court or giving detailed testimony supporting the allegations. He said he saw nothing that raised questions about the events the victim said she saw.

QUEENSBURY — Police believe a former amusement park worker who was arrested last week on a child pornography charge molested several children, court records allege.
Chad Knowlton, 23, of Adirondack Street, was jailed Friday after being arrested by State Police and the FBI as part of an investigation into downloading of child pornography, authorities said.
Records filed in U.S. District Court allege that, during that investigation, Knowlton admitted having sexual contact with as many as four children he knows, one of whom was as young as 6.
“Two minors acknowledged that the defendant engaged in sexual contact with them at the defendant’s request,” an order of detention in the case reads.
State Police are investigating what charges to file against Knowlton for the alleged abuse, which may date back as far as 8 years.
Court records show that investigators found child pornography on a desktop computer and on Knowlton’s cellphone, showing children who appeared as young as 2 involved in sexual activity.
He faces a federal felony charge of distribution and possession of child pornography that alleges he not only downloaded child pornography but also distributed it through BitTorrent programs.
“Mr. Knowlton confirmed that he had downloaded those videos and possessed them in such a way as to make them available for distribution,” FBI Special Agent Brian Seymour wrote.
Knowlton worked at The Great Escape amusement park for several months in 2012, but police said there have been no allegations raised about any improper contact with children there.
Knowlton was jailed after his arrest Friday. He was arraigned Monday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Daniel Stewart, who ordered him held without bail, pending further court action. He was being held in Rensselaer County Jail.
His lawyer, Ronald Newell, did not return a phone call for comment Wednesday.
Anyone with information in the case is being asked to contact State Police at 583-7000.

POKANE, Wash. – A Spokane man was recently sentenced to 60 years in federal prison for producing child pornography.
Dan Wayne Streetman, 46, pled guilty to three charges of production of child pornography on December 13, 2016.
According to court documents, Streetman came to Spokane from Missouri in 2006. During his time living in Spokane, Streetman sexually abused three children in his care and documented the abuse with photographs that he kept on his computer.
Documents state Streetman admitted there were probably “hundreds” of sexual encounters between himself and the children. He also admitted to photographing the children in situations where they were undressed. Two of the children Streetman admitted to abusing were under age 10. The other was 14, but had the mental functioning of a nine-year-old.
The photographs documenting the abuse were found by a relative when she was looking at Streetman’s phone. Streetman admitted the misconduct and the relative contacted the police.
Authorities received a court-authorized warrant and seized over 1,000 child pornography images and videos saved and edited by Streetman. Streetman explained he had found additional child pornography on the internet.
During his court hearing, Streetman detailed the abuse he suffered as a child. He said that abuse “haunts” him.
In court, Judge Rosanna Peterson told Streetman, “The nature of your offenses is horrific. The impact on these children is just mindboggling. The most important factor in my mind is to make sure no other children are subject to your acting out from your past.”
Streetman’s case was pursued as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the U.S. Department of Justice to combat the epidemic of child exploitation and abuse.
Streetman was sentenced to 60 years in prison, which will be followed by a lifetime of court supervision and required sex offender registration.

A Tiburon baby sitter and tutor has been charged in a federal child pornography case involving children he cared for, according to court documents.
Bryan Petersen, 24, had an estimated 10,000 to 100,000 images of child porn on his computer when the FBI executed a search warrant at his home, the prosecution alleges.
Petersen exchanged the images with Ryan Michael Spencer, 19, a baby sitter and former school employee in Santa Cruz County. Both men are charged with possession of child pornography for now, but the investigation is continuing.
A federal magistrate, Jacqueline Corley, initially allowed the men to be released on $500,000 bonds. But the prosecution filed a motion to have them placed back in jail.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Julie Garcia said the government identified several victims in the Tiburon area. Their parents submitted statements about how Petersen had violated their trust.
Both Defendants have built their lives around seeking access to children,” Garcia wrote in a court filing. “Spencer is studying to become a teacher and works as a camp counselor; Petersen is an Eagle Scout who has led overnight camping trips for young boys, and he also works as a tutor and a chess coach. Both set up babysitter profiles on Care.com in order to solicit new business, and at least Spencer also had a profile on Nextdoor.com.
“While projecting a veneer of competence and trustworthiness, both Defendants committed the most heinous of crimes: sexual abuse and exploitation of the children in their care.”
Petersen’s federal public defender, Daniel Blank, argued that Petersen deserved home confinement under strict supervisory conditions. Petersen lives with his father and stepmother.
“The defendant is 24 years old and on the autism spectrum, lives with his parents and has neither prior convictions of any kind nor any history of drug or alcohol abuse,” Blank said.
On Tuesday, Judge James Donato ordered Petersen back into custody. Both he and Spencer are being held at a county jail in Oakland.
The investigation began in 2015 when a confidential witness contacted authorities about Petersen’s alleged activities. Last summer, investigators obtained a search warrant for Petersen’s account on Dropbox, an online service through which users can exchange images and documents.
The evidence discovered there prompted federal authorities to obtain a search warrant for Petersen’s home in Tiburon and his computer equipment. Investigators executed the warrant on April 27.
Petersen talked to investigators, made incriminating statements and identified Spencer as a conspirator, the prosecution said.
“Petersen stated that Spencer’s primary source of income is from babysitting children and that Spencer takes photos and videos of the children while they are naked,” Garcia wrote. “Petersen stated that he had received many images of naked prepubescent children from Spencer via the Kik application. Petersen noted that Spencer’s preference is for children approximately 4 to 8 years old.
“Petersen also admitted that he himself had taken photographs of the children he babysat while the children were naked, and that he sent those photos to Spencer. Petersen stated that he organized those images on his hard drive using subfolders with the children’s names.”
Spencer, an Aptos resident, is a former Santa Cruz County employee who worked as a part-time recreation director at Mar Vista Elementary School, according to the Santa Cruz Sentinel.

Child sexual assaults charges have been laid against a St. Albert father of two following a two-month investigation by Alberta’s integrated law enforcement agency’s child exploitation unit, say police.
Sparked by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a social media user uploading child pornography, the Edmonton-based Internet Child Exploitation unit launched an investigation in March.
Investigators identified a suspect and executed a search warrant at the family home where a number of computer and electronic devices were seized, police said at a Friday news conference.
Police allege the 35-year-old man had “committed sexual offences against his two school-age children and that the mother was aware the abuse had taken place but failed to contact police.”
Investigators believe the father committed sexual abuse over a period of at least three years. The mother, 32, is facing charges for not contacting police.
ICE unit Staff Sgt. Stephen Camp labelled the case as “egregious” and “sickening.”
These children were sexually assaulted by their own father in their own home in an otherwise quiet community,” he said.
“These children were deprived of a sense of safety and security that most of us take for granted … sadly, their own mother knew of the abuse of the two children and failed to take appropriate action.
It’s a very sad case. These two wonderful children had their innocence stripped away for some sick sexual depravity by the people that they are close to and that they should be trusting.
These children will have to live with that trauma for the rest of their lives.”
Charges were laid on May 2 and Camp said more charges could be laid against the father.
The father is charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference, two counts of invitation to sexual touching and one count each of making child pornography available and possession of child pornography.
The mother is charged with causing a youth to need intervention under the province’s Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act.
The parent’s names are not being released in order to protect the identity of the children. The children have been removed from the family home.
The accused are scheduled to make a first appearance in St. Albert provincial court on May 8 at 9:30 a.m.
UPPER MORELAND >> A Willow Grove man arrested in March on charges of disseminating child pornography waived his preliminary hearing April 27 before District Judge Jay Friedenberg.
Andrew J. Liebman, 26, of the 3500 block of Bartram Road, was charged with 25 third-degree felony counts of dissemination of child pornography, 12 counts of sexual abuse of children/child pornography and 25 counts of criminal use of a communication facility, according to a criminal complaint. Represented by Newtown attorney Louis R. Busico, Liebman waived all charges to Montgomery County Court.
Liebman’s arrest followed an investigation that began Oct. 30, 2016, when Abington Township Detective Rick Beaghley, who investigates internet crimes against children in Pennsylvania, located a computer “configured to allow browsing” that was “sharing files of interest in child pornographic investigations,” the criminal complaint states. By directly connecting to the computer sharing the files, Beaghley was able to download “366 image files and 24 video files of interest in child pornography investigations,” it says.
The files all depicted children under 18 “engaged in sexual acts and/or poses,” some as young as 6, according to the complaint.
Investigators traced the computer to Liebman’s home and, after obtaining a search warrant in November, police seized Liebman’s computer, on which were found seven video files and five images as well as file fragments commonly associated with child pornography, the complaint says.
In an interview with Beaghley, Liebman admitted downloading the child pornography from the internet onto his computer, after which, he said, he deleted the majority of the files after viewing them, but saved some until he deleted them later, the complaint says.
Franklin County investigators arrested a Sesser man Thursday on charges of child pornography and other child sex crimes.

Hobbs has been formally charged with two counts of child pornography, a Class X felony, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony, one count of indecent solicitation of a child, a Class 3 felony, and one count of grooming, a Class 4 felony. The news release said Hobbs’ victim was 15 years old.

Bond has been set at $500,000. Hobbs will appear in Franklin County court at 1:30 p.m. May 24.
The investigation is ongoing, and according to the report, more arrests are possible.
